Hey, If you are reading this and can help then awesome! I am running the Wine wrapper under OSX and it runs well overall. One thing I really want to add is the FPS patch which is in .exe form and works natively with the Windows client. Any ideas on how I would add this executable to the OSX wrapper? Tested it on LiquidSky and it worked well but that costs per hour and I wanna run it on my MacBook. I know about dual-booting and parallels but am looking for a native solution. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! -- KB PS: Patch in question: https://www.servuo.com/archive/2d-smooth-fps-patch.509/
For whatever reason, this doesn't work for me. When I try to select client and start it, I get a failed message.
Wish I could help. The mechanics are Greek to me. One semester of CS before switching majors just does not cut it.
For anyone interested in the solution: Copy the FPS patch to a location you can remember and locate within the UO package. Run Wineskin from within the UO package. Use the 'Test Run' option to open Razor/UO. Use the 'Task Manager' option to open the Windows task manager. Select File/New Task (Run) within the Task Manager. Navigate to the location of the FPS patch and execute that. Apply the FPS Patch to the running UO client. You now have a UO client with better FPS in OSX. Congrats!
