Just sittin' here workin' my spinning wheel/loom and a thought hit me...

"Wouldn't it be great if the spinning wheel made a some noise when you used it?"

What do you think? Any other items that could use sounds?

I think all animated house add-ons, like the wheel and loom, etc, should have sounds associated. I just looked through every sound effect in the game with Fiddler and found nothing for any of them. I imagine it's not incredibly difficult to do but may require some client tweak and the triggers on the server side to make it happen. Just kinda guessing though.

What I also noticed were three different sounds for most instrument types. Battle/Drama/Peace. Would be cool to have those in place for each of the three barding types, and just have the normal drum sound for normal play. :)

On another related note, I think the inscription sound is the coolest.

I used to have a 'bell' that was blessed on the 'other' place. I probably enjoyed that very much, I would randomly ring the bell for all to hear or to initiate a quest.

It was funny, some people would have no clue where the sound was coming from.

House addon's having sounds would be cool! Imagine if communication crystals had sounds too! that would be cool! like a fizzling sound when text came through.

I have a set of 8-9 of those bells and they all had random names (of Ultima Characters or shard staff), random hue and random sound effect of about 9-10 different sound effects. These can be found in Fiddler, I was playing them last night :) You could actually export them and overwrite the defaults to perhaps make certain spells sound completely different, to you. :)

Convert it to a .wav file and you can import it over any existing sound effect.

Is it considered cheating if I replace the cow's 'moo' sound effect with this?

That would make my cow statues at least 9x scarier!

It would only work for you, unfortunately.
