My auto death-capture was turned off! Unfortunately, when I am fighting for my life, I find I often forget to hit my Insert key (take screenshot now hotkey). Please send any pictures you may have taken to Jupiter!
Aye, I was too bust trying to manage the chaos to take an shots of that crazy fraking battle. I will have a better screen shot system soon.
Great adventure tonight! Had about 13 total at the end. The night started off at Paws Tower as the adventurers showed up, one by one and two by two, in nothing by simple clothing, as was requested of them. Krake Vestahl revealed that someone had delivered him a book. A book written by Tomah of Thamara! The deliverer was a man named Horace Freeland.....a merchant traveler of sorts. The booked contained the thoughts of Tomah, who after some thought and research, had decided to go an investigate the City of the Dead, north of Delucia. From there, he would continue on to the north, and explore an abandoned sandstone palace. Horace had sold him a rune to such a place. Well, as you might guess, the sandstone palace was not abandoned. It was crawling with Ophidians. Tomah, as clever and adept as he was, was overcome by them. Krake, back at Paws, not having spoken with Tomah for some time, felt it an ill portend that his journal should be delivered back to him. Not knowing if he could trust this Horace, the call was put out for adventurers of the land, and thus we are back to the beginning of our story. The group headed to the Lost Lands. To Delucia. They purchased some meager supplies and readied themselves for the sands. They set out in search of Tomah. Overcoming the might of th e Dead City, but not without significant loss. They ran into Horace in the city, who knowing ran into the depths of carnage for some reason, getting himself killed in the process. Following his track back to where he had come from, not far off in the desert, the group dug up a rune from the sand with etching on it describing some far off abandoned palace in the sand...... HARK! This must be were Tomah ventured to! They gated from the rune, with the help of Jupiter and his wizardry, and encountered the poisoned fangs of the Ophidans. Most foul! Fighting up through their lavish palace, the spirit of Tomah could be seen. After a brief battle with the matriarch, Tomah was brought back to the realm of the living. Being too weak to enter into the portal before him, the needed to escort him back to Papua. The group set out south. On the way many things tried to stop them, but to no avail. However, as they reached the rickety bamboo bridge far above the rushing waters that marked the border to the Papua region, Jupiter felt an unease, and called a halt to the expedition. His unease was not unfounded! The King and Queen of the Ophidians, along with an elite guard, had followed them back! It is believed that their intention was to kill the warriors who invaded their palace and then to move onto the city of Papua and besiege it! MOST FOUL! The band of warriors fought, fell, where healed up, and fought again! Dispatching the Queen and stopping the advance of the Ophidian Army......for now..... If anyone on the quest has more pics, please post them!
Pothead has a great picture of the battle with the Ophidian Queen, I'll have to ask him if he'll post or link it. That adventure was a lot of fun! Very well put together and thanks to all that put the work into making it happen.
I will have a metric ton of pics to post later tonight. I want to congratulate Krake for this epic adventure. This was all his from start to finish. Bravo and encore!
AWESOME adventure! Lessons that Jupiter learned from this encounter: 1. In a pinch, seek out Mes for a bowl of tomato soup and an extraordinarily steady nerve! 2. If a strange merchant appears in the middle of a battle, you best double check his goods aren't tainted!
So Song Birds first adventure was a smashing success. As you can see above in Krake's photo's I was only dead a bit Other things she learned... DARK NIGHTS ARE DARK!!!! I forgot a lantern while trying to make it through the underground passage to the lost lands and didn't want to stop to figure it out for fear of losing the group and no one had any reg's for a night site since we had nothing but our newbie stuff. So we finally make it out of the tunnel and now we have to run to town. DO YOU KNOW HOW BUMPY AND BLOCKY THE LOST LANDS ARE.... yes? WELL HAVE YOU DONE IT IN THE DARK?! I tried very hard to stay close to the ONLY person who brought a lantern (who again.. .was not the blind one running around in the dark). I finally made it to town where I took a brief moment to "brighten" the world up a bit. While everyone else was looking for a bag of some sort, I stumbled upon trapped creature. These lost lands can be harsh even to the animals who call it home: Then as one person in our group so precisely put it And so our group did just that (though I failed to capture most of it as I was busy trying to make peace w/ the baddies and stay alive): I look forward to the next adventure... I will be bringing a lantern.
