Just for a convenience could we allow alchemist to be able to craft bottles. Say some reagents equal to vendor prices to craft. If not thats cool to.
Although it would be convenient if alchemists could craft bottles, it wouldn't make much sense. A blacksmith however, might be a convincible glass-blower, which could lead to craftable bottles. Furthermore, if we do that, you better believe scribes will push for craftable scrolls. I'm not against any of this, but I think we should put some thought into determining which types of 'reagents' should be required to craft these items. Ideas: Blank Scroll requirements: (x)boards & (x)feathers. Empty Bottle requirements: (x)ingots & (x)glass shards (these obviously don't exist in-game but might be do-able as loot from low level mobs like sailors... we all know how they drink too much and break bottles over each others' heads.)
I don't care which skill. Just would be a nice addition. I currently have 1k kegs and am always in need of bottles.
The only time it's a good gold sink are when they are used for purples or decay on corpses. I like it but maybe a carpentry bod reward would be an glass forge (re-hued forge, deeded item) so you could use sandstone ore and blow bottles with your tinker. Fletching + Scribe for scrolls?
