Hello. I'd like to discuss the current armors, I'm a super beginner in this shard though. :D

In general, leather armors (and chainmail+ringmail armors for dexxers) are the most preferred armors in this era, because the other armors have too many penalties in exchange for additional AR. The penalties can be summarized as follows:

    1) From a point of view of crafters,
Studded leather armors, bone armors, full plate armors, etc. require much more resource to craft these.
The crafters need to get higher skill points to craft these armors.

As a result, it is too hard to mass-product these armors and the cost for the armors must be expensive.

    2) From a point of view of wearers,
These armors' price must be expensive due to the previous reasons. Thus the potential burden becomes huge, e.g., if you are killed by PKs you will lose much more costs.
Even though you must pay much more costs for the armors, the armors have significant penalties; meditation penalties and dex penalties.
    a) I'm not sure how much passive/active meditation penalties are imposed in this shard when a char wears studded leather/bone armors, generally the penalties are relatively too big in exchange for small AR bonuses.
    b) Dex penalties are much more serious problem, especially for dexxers. The dex penalties causes not only increase of bandage time but also reducing swing speed of weapons. Despite of the huge penalties, the only advantage of the armors is small AR bonuses.

In summary, a char must take huge penalties, i.e., meditation penalties, increase of bandage time and reducing swing speed of weapons due to the dex penalties, and much more cost and risk, when the char wears the one of these armors.

So these armors would need a buff I think. Frankly speaking, I'd rather say studded leather armors should be upgraded version of leather armors and full plate armors have to be much more solid if the DEX penalty is left as it is. Here are some example for the revisions:

    (scale 1 to 4.5)
Leather armors: dex penalties 0, ar 1, no meditation penalties
Studded leather armors: dex penalties 0, ar 2, no meditation penalties (or small penalties for active meditation)
Bone armors: dex penalties 1, ar 3 small meditation penalties but meditable
Ringmail+Chainmail armors: dex penalties 1, ar 3, full meditation penalties
Full plate armors: dex penalties 2, ar 4.5 full meditation penalties

What do you think of it?

And finally, I'd like to suggest that orc helm also be colored as bone armors are. :)

I posted about Armor changes previously to help out melee fighters, mostly the dex hits from the tunic and leggings would be the only pieces effected.

This is what I came up with:

    Currently:

    Tunic - Dex Hit
    Plate - 8
    Bone - 6
    Chain - 5
    Ring - 2

    Legs
    Plate - 6
    Bone - 4
    Chain - 3
    Ring - 1

    Would like to be:

    Tunic
    Plate - 6
    Bone - 3
    Chain - 3

    Legs
    Plate - 3
    Bone - 2
    Chain - 2

I do not think Ring armor needs a change. Bone and Chain have the same AR range from 13-28 for tunic and 5-9 for legs (basic exceptional to invuln), I don't see why bone should be hit extra so I dropped it down even.

    Per set dex hit:
    Plate Set - was 20 now 15 = 5 savings!
Bone Set - was 13 now 8 (add 1 for plate gorget) = 5 savings!
    Chain+Ring Set - was 10 now 7 (add 1 for plate gorget) = 3 savings!
    Ring - 5 (add 1 for plate gorget) = 0 savings
