So TIL that BODs are not blessed/newbies on this shard, was this a thing? I stopped OSI prior to BODs existing and when I came back they were new vied and have been on any server I've played on.

    Is this intentional?

The BOD I lost was a trash BOD I picked up from the ground at the BS so it was definitely one of my cheaper lessons

Fair enough, I was just curious if this was actually ever a thing on OSI and what the original reason behind making them non-blessed was.

If BODs were blessed you'd have everyone parking characters at blacksmiths and tailors spamming for BODs as they could just check back in every few days to empty their packs.

I think them being unblessed works rather well :)

Seems like an odd way to use your 3 accounts and shards I have played on don't have people doing this....not to mention this would easily be combatted by the AFK checker

One, I believe BODs have the AFK checker, as does selling items, but buying items does not.

No idea how OSI handled this. But I know, that people did hang out 24/7 at tailor shops and blacksmithies late 2014. It changed after I stole some hundred bods in a few weeks, hahahaharrr.

And that's also what I would expect. We need a minimum kind of risk for this large value generation (and honestly it is minimal risky to collect a bod with super tight city security anyway). It's also great that people are forced to manually log in and move their toons ingame. Why would we want a world with more unattended gaming?
On a side note, collecting bods generates a AFK gump, but it's one of these rather rare afk checks.

I doubt it was ever an issue on OSI because the crafters could sit in Tram anyway.
