    Not sure if bug or not so putting here.

    I remember a time in old days, after pet bonding was in that with a npc escort, you could
    recall to the desired location and it would follow you. I gave it a try in UOR, npc didn't come with me.

    Not exactly sure now if that feature was put in when pet bonding was, or did it come after?

    Thanks all

    Pet Bonding is currently under review. We would like to implement it, but we want to make sure it is done correctly. On one side it can be very unbalanced (Perma pets, easy bonding, etc), and on the other side it can be terribly frustrating (Trapped, Lost Pets, Pet Decay, Pet Summoning).

    We aim to find a good balance of the mechanics and implement it if possible.

    Steps such as making bonding require a great deal of work, not just a weeks worth of stabling. Possibly even a special food item to initialize pet bonding. However should your pet die, it should be subjected to stat loss to keep things balanced. You should have to work to keep your pet alive, and re-train it should it die in battle.

    A system would also need to be devised to deal with a lost pet, considering how badly pet summoning could be exploited.

    Overall I think bonding is a great system for tamers, but must be implemented correctly.

    As for NPC's and tamed animals following you on recalls, that was added long after the Renaissance era. I don't see a point where we will ever add that feature. Going to have to stick to using the gate spell for NPC & Pet transport.

    For additional details you can review our future project list for issues that are under review.

    thanks Chris, but pet bonding isn't good just for tamers. It's nice to have a horse or pack animal

    bonded too. If I remember correctly, that pet care place in brit has a vet that will rez your pet for a

    fee if no tamer is around with enough vet skill.

    And yes I know, the pets here are not real, but I grow fond of even the lowly pack horse. lol

    thanks for all the work :}

    Pet bonding was added late in the UOR era. And your example is exactly why I like pet bonding, there are so many casual uses for it, and even giving you a reason to specialize with veterinary in order to care for your pets. All of those things will be taken into consideration.
