Baerron Jael sniffed at the cold, dead air of Dagger Isle. It was time. The seeds planted in the past have ripened into a rotting harvest of corruption (see here: Foolish Interlopers) It was time to break the Second Seal that bound his master.

The Honor Shrine did not go as well as Baerron Jael hoped, but this time it would be different.

The daemon tore out a fingernail and flicked his hand towards the ground, spattering droplets of black ichor in the snow. The snow bubbled and foamed briefly. The seeds of death are sown for the lightbringers when they come.

In a bright flash, the Grey Wizard appeared at the shrine; no doubt he sensed the corruption setting in, or perhaps the Sapphire waif told him about it. Baerron Jael was planning on a surprise, but this was better... the fool might drag more souls into his crusade and feed the appetites of the daemon and his master.

With the shrine corrupted, the seeds of death sown, and the seal broken, Baerron Jael left the Wizard to look upon the desecration of the shrine.

Yes, this time it would be different. This time the lightbringers come to into the daemon's domain.
