On Friday the 30th of September members of the Great Council, and their allies Project Sanctuary, combined forces to seek out a cure for a troubling condition affecting one of the citizens of the Realm, Lady Atropa.

Lady Atropa suffers from an unknown and yet nameless malady. Although the ailment itself is not contagious, a draining and dreadful symptom affects those around her. The late Steward Gael Wordsworth had attempted to synthesize a cure once before, but it was unsuccessful.

Approximately a dozen members of the Great Council, Project Sanctuary, and friends (including Lady Atropa herself) gathered. Alex Caember of the Great Council announced that a Dryad who has taken up residence in the nearby wood would be sought out for help. Upon meeting this shy but benevolent being, she agreed to help.

The Dryad, willing to help, led the coalition westward to the town of Wispfelt where the Governess Lady Marjo awaited. The cure-seekers were treated with great hospitality while the Dryad communicated with the Wisp in an endeavor to seek a possible cure for Lady Atropa.

After speaking with the Wisp, the Dryad determined that a possible cure required three items found within the dungeon Khaldun: the essence of a Zealot, the mind of an ancient Lich Lord, and the tentacle of the Harrower. Unfortunately, Lady Atropa was too ill to continue any further with the group and departed, but the remainder were adamant about completing the task at hand.

En-route to the third and final ingredient required to create a possible cure, the coalition came across a disgruntled group of Cobblers who demanded that the party give over their shoes. There was much contention about this point, which ultimately resulted in violence. It is unclear as to why the Cobblers took up residence in Khaldun. A member of the Council Guard made a statement:

"These Cobblers had a small camp set up. I suspect they were living here for a short period of time, possibly looking for shelter after losing their work as legitimate cobblers. Ever since the Anniversaries, fewer and fewer people turn to the Cobblers for their footwear and instead rely on the intervention of the God's themselves. These poor souls were driven to poverty and violence; they did not choose it."

*The resulting violence is seen as an economic indication of the times. Honest Cobblers are put out of work when the God's give free footwear .

Once the Cobbler incident was resolved, the group moved on to the final ingredient. They were successful in obtaining the tentacle of the Harrower.

*A game is organized to run up to the Tentacle of the Harrower and strike it with a weapon.

    *Success!

With the ingredients in hand, the Great Council now much search for an alchemist of skill and great knowledge to successfully combine them into a poultice for Lady Atropa. The search is ongoing at this time, and it is suspected to take awhile due to the extreme speciality of knowledge required.

To reward the members of the Great Council, Project Sanctuary, and friends, both Lord Alex Caember and Lord Krake assembled treasure chests for the party to split amongst themselves. The two chests combined held a total of 250 items weighing over 2,000 stone.

I hope indeed one of great skill is discovered soon to mix the cure. Such things take a delicate hand and keen eye, one drop less or too many, I shudder to think of the outcome.

The Wisp was more than happy to share her knowledge with you and also wishes for a quick recovery.
If any need to rest awhile, she welcomes you to come back to garden and visit with her.

    Best to all of you.
