Yes, but those NPCs aren't poor new players looking for funds to buy their first house! They are happily settled in their NPC town, doing NPC things, involving no effort or risk

The time it has taken me to acquire those ingots is ridiculous, because I've been smelting for gains (still not GM, but close).
