I just ran some auto updates and restarted my computer. Now, i cannot stay connected for more than 10 minutes. I've been back almost 2 weeks now and didn't drop once; now I've dropped 4-5 times in an hour on all 3 accounts. I have UO/razor installed on my C drive, allow them on the firewall, and reset my modem/router a few times. Not sure what happened, any ideas?
run 2 instances of your command prompt (as an administrator).. enter the following commands, one in one prompt, one in the other: ping play.uorenaissance.com -t ping.google.com -t Let both prompts run for an hour or so. After they run for a while hit ctrl-c on both windows to stop the ping. Report back here with the end results. I had the same exact issue a couple of weeks ago that Telamon helped me with. Try this step first. I had bursts of packet loss and it ended up being a faulty ethernet hub. So, you could be having an issue with your router, Ethernet cables, etc..
I'll give it a shot, just odd that it coincidentally began after updating - Windows defender definitions. same ones microsoft sends out every month or so
Hey sir, I know it looks like I'm in a bright yellow reflective suit with a flare in each hand flailing my arms in circles now but... The updates is likely the cause. Load a system restore point.
ah yes.. restore points. completely forgot this option. loaded one to a few days ago, we'll see. thanks for the input
