Can't use axe after detect hidden

Is it normal to not be able to use an axe directly after detect hidden? Any way to get around this?

I'm trying to detect before smashing my security trash can. But every damn time I need to wait a while before I can use (double click) the axe. It says "you must wait to perform another action".

I've upped my delay in the past. It's not that. This irritates me every time I enter my house. I figured it was just me, so I've never said anything.

I get the same thing. Chopping a trash barrel seems to be considered a skill use.

Yea, it would be super handy to not have to wait after detect hidden, I think it's about 8 seconds after using the skill.

I don't know if it's a bug per say but Chris has mentioned looking into fixing it.
