"Click. Thwip." The arrow sent flying from Catalin's cross bow found it's mark and burrowed into the frozen fiend's chest. The bolts were rumored to dismiss one's fear of demons, and watching the ice fiend turn to flee Catalin began to hope he might make it out alive. But the momentary silence that followed the beast's flight soon have him a new worry. It was silent. "Click. Thwip." The final bolt chased the demon down and finally sent it back to the forbidden realms from which it was summoned. Although he already knew his friends had fallen, he called out, "Lady Marjo, Lestat?! Are you alright?" Catalin crept around the dark hall and spotted his fallen comrades. Their horses corpses were rent in twain and blood trails led into the center chamber. He quietly moved to Marjo and Lestat, but he knew he would only have enough time to pull their bodies to a safe distance to perform the crucial first aid. He felt the cool air he recognized as spirit brush passed him. He ripped several strips from his medical cloth and sutured the wounds as best he could. His work would ensure his comrades would live, but they would be in no state to fight. Recovering their items was the least of his worries though, he counted his remaining bolts, and swallowed hard. It would be a long climb back out with two incapacitated and only a handful of arrows. He tried to quiet his mind and search for the calm to help him think of a way out. And it came to him in the form of a blue portal. When he saw it appear, it gave him the calm assurance. this was the end of his worries one way or another - either villains would step through and wipe him out, or help had come. Seeing two majestic white wyrms appear, Catalin breathed a sigh. the renowned Mobolin, the nine fingered guardian, stepped through the portal. "Quite the predicament master Catalin. But do not fret, we shall get you safely out of here." Mobolin closed his eyes and sent his companions the signal to attack. ................................ Back in the safety of Paws, Catalin finally had a moment to ask how Mobolin had known where to find them. "Well that was complete chance to tell you the truth, I had come to Paws to drop off these chess men to Jupiter, and I saw your message 'in ice dungeon. Need help!'" Catalin paused briefly, "but I left no such message, how, where did you see it?" With a smile Mobolin pointed up towards the sapphire pond, "she keeps a constant watch over the village."
