I read somewhere theare near 100 NPC Cupid camps location. I see in UOMap there are tents icons with name Camps and usually I found Cupid camps there. They always spawn in those location or there are more locations which aren't marked in UOMap. What's the best way to found them? Using a char with tracking? I'm not sure the range of tracking and its usefulness. Kind regards.
Tracking still is awesome for everything but players. You can definitely find the Cupid spawn via tracking human npcs.
Tracking's pretty neat. I recommend working on and having one ready for the events here. However, in the meantime... These cupid camps are in the same spawning point of regular camps (orcs, lizardmen, etc). There are a few rune libraries that have marked these locations. There's one near the Spirituality Shrine in a small stone tower. With some upfront investment, you could end up with a good system of sweeping the map rather efficiently. G'luck and have fun.
You can recall around to each NPC camp location and search. Use tracking and run between camp locations. However, you can find any active NPC camp within seconds if you use the town boards. Mark town board locations (8-10 locations) checking these essentially checks ALL possible active NPC camps (~100 locations). Make a system to quickly get to the locations and your set! Example of this process at the start of my Valentines gameplay video.
Thanks. I'll check that rune library. I'm creating some runebooks and marking the location in my UOMap. (I have two full books at the moment). Also, I have a tamer I'm not using, maybe worth the effort to raise to GM tracking and test that skill but I dont know what is the range. You recall to some spot in the middle of nowhere and use skill tracking?
Yep, they list any active NPC camps within the towns range. All NPC camps are tied to a town somewhere, Yews board has the largest range, covering NPC camps that are a quarter way across the map! If you skip through the first parts of that video, you should get an idea of how it works.
