(I had this sitting in my screen folder for a while, kinda forgot about it!) Tomah of Thamara called forth valiant warriors from through out the realm to help him track down a lost miner, somewhere on a remote island. The miner had gotten over zealous and set out on his own to shores unknown to him. Many showed up for this rescue mission, and so they chartered a ship to the island in question. And who was the captain of said ship? Why, non other than Bucklebones. After a long voyage at sea, full of jolly banter and enough booze to drown a balron, they arrived on the shore and set out to the last known location of the lost miner. Their first stop was the Fire Temple. Not the best place for a miner to be, but alas they found a hidden tunnel! They squeezed in and crawled, dragons and all, through the tunnel to emerge inside a small cave. The miners body, and worldly possession, strewn about the rock and soil. It seems he met an untimely demise. "Well this was a waste", Icarium said. "Hold on ladies and gentlefolk, take a look at this", Tomah replied as he flipped through the miners journal. The group gathered around to read. What they discovered was that something had been haunting this Miner in his sleep. He had come to this island to find five points of blood and summon the darkness to beg it to release him. The plot thickens, it seems. As the companions continued to read, they came across a passage stating that 5 lights must be held high at the five points of blood in order to summon the foul entity. They knew that a dungeon was close.....this dungeon was known to harboring agents of darkness. Reasoning that these 5 lights might be torches (as the miner had 3 on him), they ventured forth into the depths in the hopes of coming across 2 more torches in their search for the 5 points of blood. Low and behold, the fates were in their favor! They indeed did find more torches, and as they entered a chamber in the darkness of the lower levels, they came across the 5 points of blood spoken of in the journal! Having slain the horrors that guarded this room, 5 brave adventurers stood at the 5 points of blood and, one at a time, light their torches and held them high. With a crackle of dark energy and a roar that shook they very foundation of the stone around them, the Darkness appeared! Ghastly and terrifying to behold, it advanced on the group with blind rage. Many were lost in the fight against this monstrosity, but in the end, the Darkness was banished back to whatever circle of Hell it had been dwelling in. It wont be invading the sleep of the innocent anymore, we hope..... Thanks everyone who came out for this! Sorry it took me a while to get it posted!
