    Large Tower

House placement rule change in Patch 40 means that you will never have neighbors as long as these houses stand.
If these fall, they cannot be replaced. If they fall, they CAN be replaced with SMALLER houses.

This is the closest possible neighbor:

That's not correct, unless it was changed again. I tested on the test shard when I owned these homes. The tower cannot be replaced as the region around the entrance was expanded. The patio won't fit either, but you can still place homes in the valley. I was actually going to drop the tower if it was truly blocked in the whole valley. I like a big front yard.

If these houses fall, they can be replaced with SMALLER houses. I got a large patio to fit where the tower was and a 2 story villa to fit where the large marble. Could not get the same house type to fit tho.

TO be clear, if you buy these houses. NO OTHER will fit in the valley

Just tested on live by trying to place a small house. Will NOT fit anywhere inside the valley, then I went out the entrance into the larger wooded valley. The third picture is of the closest placement that works. All others gave "Cannot Create Housing in the Area" message.

If ANY other houses could have been placed in there, they would have by now.

I tested (again today) and there's a small strip of land in the center of the valley where you can fit a small home or two. That is all. The tower and the villa would have to be removed to accommodate it though so the homes there presently are definitely GF placement, but if they fall, homes can still be placed inside the valley by the pond.

I know this spot and want a place here badly. But only a week old here so only made tuppence so far as pumped money into poisoning and alchemy. Now that my Young status is gone though and my macroers are having their instruments and tools stolen the need for a house to become a recluse in is becoming a priority.

If nobody buys these house long before they fall down do you reckon? Lol

They will not fall. I will keep them refreshed till I find a buyer or more time to play.

If someone has an idea to use one or both as more than just personal housing, I am willing to listen....

I was up here yesterday looking at these houses and looting the clothes off the mutilated corpses of Wandering Healers. Once I heard footsteps in the house I absolutely legged it though, thought I was about to meet the same fate as the healers.

Was that you in the house? I just want a starting house in the vicinity of things I need. I have no big plans for the spot or anything unfortunately. Other than hiding my macroers from kleptomaniacs! And frequenting Despise.

If I can start getting some gold coming in I am a big fan of owning a home near Despise. YEARS ago I was always so jealous of the people that owned homes there.
