I have been experiencing extreme lag over the past couple days and cannot figure out why. My connection is solid, no one else seems to be having any lag issues, and this is in an open area which isn't near any houses or anything. This happens even if I have only one client freshly opened and no macros running.

    Any thoughts?

You do have "Smart CPU usage reduction" unchecked on razor right? Having it checked will give problems with multiclienting I think.

I don't know the actual answer to this but I've experienced this twice in the past 6 or 8 months and the only thing that solved it was a fresh install. In my case I assume it had to do with playing on a mac and something weird happening between my OS and wineskin/UO. If you happen to be on a Mac it might be the only way around it.

I'll uncheck and see how it goes.

If that doesn't do it I'll go for the reinstall.

    Playing on PC btw.

Yeah leave it unchecked, it causes problems. Hopefully that fixes things!

It did not. Looks like I'll be reinstalling.

    Reinstall did not help.

I don't think it's razor because I ran the client without razor and still experience the same issue.

Tried everything in that thread and still experiencing intermittent lag/freezing.

    Compatibility settings maybe

    Set for razor.exe and client.exe

    to Run as Admin
    Disable Desktop Composition
    Disable Visual Themes

    Compatibility to WinXP SP3

It seems (most of the time) that I have resolved this issue, though it took a number of changes.

I ended up enacting all of the suggestions made in this thread and the one recommended by Puck.

Additionally, I gave priority resource usage to my clients by changing them from normal to real time.

There is another fix I made, though that one escapes me at the moment.
