Fact finding mission - Runebook hues.

Greetings fellow forumers, I wish to inform you all that I have been infected.

The infection started when I first adorned a set of 1508 hue leather armour, this infection has now spread beyond my purses capabilities so for now, while this infection is left to incubate, I am solely on a mission to find and set my financial target on a 1508 hued runebook.

Currently a 1508 runebook does not exist, hoever a 1507 does accoring to the compendium.

It is a 1/1 and it is beautiful.

So I want to know - who owns this? I cannot afford it, and If I were you I wouldnt sell it even if I could afford it, but I just want to know it exists and is a real thing.

I recently made enough plat to get myself a runebook bless deed and I was loaned a dye tub to dye it, the plan was to dye it the colour of the one I saw in the plat reward photo.



Then I found out it doesnt exist and I cried. Salty, salty tears.

So this dream is all I hold onto now.

If anyone can shed any light on it I would really appreciate it!

The hues changed, so there are "prepatch" hues that are only available if they were made...pre patch.

Good luck finding the bearer, as they are likely either inactive or unaware they have it as it's similar to other hues.

Due to the age of these runebooks and the natural acidic chemicals omitted by your hands every time you handle them you are running the very real risk of "parchment perishment" or "Pee Pee" as it's known amongst other professionals runebook maintainers.

For a low low fee I can protect you from "Pee Pee" by selling you a magical pair of gloves. Sure, they look like regular leather gloves but I can assure you they are not.

I'll trade you a pair for the 1507 rune book. Personally I think it's a small price to pay for the preservation of your collection.

That's a mighty fine collection!

I was trying it. It's a huge topic, and while 80% of the hues are the same for each Shard/OSI of this era, the custom 20% is the difficult stuff. That just needs dedication and time.

So how close are you?!

To what, collecting all that there exists? Not close at all.

I would kind of seperate the color ranges in difficulty ranges: (1) easy to obtain, abundance, (2) difficult to obtain, need certain conditions (just as example: lvl7 maps, or simply money for anniv clothes), (3) very rare, not producable any more, need to contact people that own them...

I'd say I had a good coverage of (1) before I quit. I still own the collection, but don't want to waste any more time for that. At least right now.

Another difficult part is to get the knowledge. In order to be able to categorize hues properly. You could write a PhD about that stuff, I tell you.

Somebody somewhere is capable of writing a code with two drop down boxes and a results field for it. It's not me.

For example drop down box 1 is item - cloth, sandals, runebook, robe, chest etc etc, second drop down box is the hue range 1-whatever it is and the results field is wether that item exists currently and how many there are.

Kind of stealing @One idea but dramatically simplifying.
