Well I'll start this off with your basics, For your damage you're gonna want: GM Fencing GM Tactics GM Anatomy Considering you've got Anatomy, and you don't want to carry many regs as a pure fencer go with: GM Healing You're gonna want resist to fight mages: GM Resisting Spells That leaves us two(!) slots to consider your actual build. You said pure Fencer? I'm rather new to the game so someone else's opinion might fit better here, but I'm thinking: [Build 1] GM Hiding ---------------------> To escape pks? 70.1 Magery -------------------> To successfully recall from pks? 29.9 Tracking -----------------> To hunt players This build has few tricks. You can buff somewhat, and you can wear heavier armor. It's also cheap to make and could serve as a launch point to gain gold for a more expensive build. [Build 2] Hybrid Mage Fencer GM Magery GM Meditation This build looks familiar to me and I've only been on UO a few months. It gets your opponent in the red and drops them (hopefully). With access to reliable Magic Reflect and Paralyze this is a good players build. Here is where my knowledge falls short, there's more awesome builds out there. Poison Fencer, Alchemy Fencer, Someother Fencer. But you can raise that first build up in no-time.
My question would be this: what is your goal? To pk? To farm? To do factions? To just war other guilds? And do you want survivability, or do you want a more offensive 1v1 template?
Hatecrime is right. pvp-ull need magery for backup heals, from the mages dps. teleport away in case, or walls. Every build should have magery on it. unless u got a cpl friends that will run with you on these episodes. i always have gm magery on a dexxer for mini heals and cure. heal and cure potions will fail u when u need them most edit: i see u said pure dexxer warrior--well in this era those are kind of obsolete with special abilities. they were more frequent in T2A era
I would imagine your looking for pvp since you mentioned dexxer to go after mages: GM Fencing Gm Tactics GM Anatomy GM Resist GM Healing Gm Alchemy (at GM your explosion pots do additional damage) 70.1 or whatever it is to 100% recall rest in tracking An Alchy Dexxer may not be "pure dexxer" but it will put out some damage. With the new viable templates available I would imagine we will start seeing a lot of alchy dexxers. On the other server I play on hide has never done much to help me against pkers. Ya I can hide and go afk but the good ones use tracking and will reveal you. A good recall macro seems >hide for me as a dexxer
I'm shooting for GM Fencing (Mace) still up in the air GM Anatomy GM Tactics GM Magery GM Med GM Resist GM Alchemy ...but then again I haven't played a char like this for so long as my connection is horrid at best. I remember, but may be way off base, but alchemy gave a 10% bonus on exp pot damage. You could also drop alchemy, and go scribe, for the extra circles of protection. The only problem I seem to remember with this is you are at a slight disadvantage vs other dexers.
i was about to say wow crazy template an alchy med dexxing stun mage but then i saw no resist and now must pass. should drop wrestling for resist but that will still leave you open withput defensive bonus or wrestling if a dexxer is on you and your trying to heal. maybe run a tank mage but sub alch for med and use eval and anat for defense could suck with no med trying to heal idea never tried it.
GM Fencing GM Anatomy GM Tactics GM Healing GM Resist With GM Magery GM Alchemy OR GM Archery 70 Hiding 30 Tracking I just want to be able to stay alive. I will be making other char. I am not trying to be rich all I am aiming for is a Small Stone Tower. Would be fun to shot arrows to the knees of liches.
I'm not sure that there is an Alchey bonus on the server. I could be wrong though. I would suggest scribe or med instead of Alchey.
I wouldn't waste points in tracking even if it was working properly. You can still use tracking at 0, which is efficient enough for pvp. You might not be able to track as far but it is still very useful without dumping points into it.
