During our time here on UOR it is natural that we engage in conflicts and make mistakes. It is also natural that we develop grudges and resentment, sometimes from accurate comprehension of a scenario and sometimes from miscommunication or assumption. I feel it is important to give forgiveness and to be able to receive it. So I decided to post this thread. I acknowledge that there are many different people here on UOR and there are many different play styles. There will never be a time where everyone likes each other or respects each other's play style, but we can forgive and let go of grudges which are not helpful for the shard or community. Some people do learn from mistakes and this opens an opportunity for change and benefit. At the very least we can let people be who there are in the present and not what we create them as in our minds. Some may see this post as a sign of weakness, but I see it as an opportunity for growth and power. So I ask for forgiveness and I forgive you. I encourage others to do the same. Long live UOR. I really don't know you from a hole in the wall, and not entirely sure if we've ever bumped heads, but asking for forgivness is not a sign of weakness. It's actually the other side of the spectrum, it takes more knowlegde, respect and maturity to admit when you are wrong and ask for forgiveness. Hats off to you my friend, you've earned some of my respect.
I so agree, Forgiveness and asking for forgiveness are not signs of weakness, but perhaps a true acknowledgement of self. One ritual of the Cherokee people, is on the eve of New Years, all is forgiven* , thus starting the new year fresh. Thank you for this post.... UO is a game which is easy to become totally immersed in, often it is easy to forget the "game" part. I too forgive those who have "hurt" me and ask forgiveness to those I have wronged. Thanks again.
