Hello , new to this server. Me and some friends decided to try this server out. Was wondering if any of you guys played UOforever and could tell me some of the differences pvp wise from here to there. Also how is the pvp in general on this server ?
It's pretty great so far that I can tell. I think (Remember I am still new here too) the main difference would be the old school play style and skill sets. UOForever seemed to take alot of difference ages similar to UOG: Hybrid. Different groups tend to move in different areas; the most hectic zones I have seen are around IDOCs and Dungeons. It seems like the factions and Order/Chaos are pretty prevalent around here too! If you need some friends hit me up; I haven't PvPed in years but I am working on my first character for it now. I made a Provo/Mage first for gold so I can train my characters up appropriately. Hopefully I will see you on the field! Message me in IRC @ Magoo
Hey, ive played there for a little bit. The pvp mechanics are pretty much the same, except that you wont have the alchemy bonus here. Templates like Heal/Stun or Scribe/Stun are much often seen here. Mindblast hurts more here, default stats for mages are pretty much 90/45/90 compared to the more imbalanced stats you will propably use on your old shard. (i believe 95/35/95 was default there, please correct me if im wrong) PvP is active, especially the last months. Primetimes are from 6-12pm EST usually, there are a lot of O/C fights going on, but you will find pretty much anything. Oh, since Occlo is the new player town, you wont find a lot of action in brit here.. just incase you might be used to it Resons why ive decided to left the other shard: UOR has a better community, no neon hues or beetles, no donation shops, no "custom house" boxes, and an awesome staff. I play here for quite a while and its simply one of the best places for overall gameplay. Welcome!
This is one of the best and authentic, but modernized Ultima shards out there. You can't go wrong playing here.
PvP has really been picking up more and more here. Be patient with it and the more groups that show up, the better. We've had some really good, fairly large fights over the past few weeks. I go on periodic hiatus' and it seems each time I come back the server just continues to grow.
I am trying the server out if anyone wants to give me a helping hand so I can get a Mage Trained i am down to PvP
@SoulWeaver farming money is pretty easy. Start with 50 Magery and try to get a bladespirit scroll from somewhere to copy it in your spellbook. Then move to Ice Ogre Lords, and farm them for about 2 hours with Bladespirits. You should have enaugh money for GM Magery and a spellbook.
