Hi Meradin, I voted yes but dont hold your breath for an update. Archery has been the topic of change for quite some time. Loads of ideas and suggestions have been thrown out there:

Personally, I don't have a problem with archery as it is. I have a dexxer who is GM fencing/archery (well....almost.... he's like 98.9 archery) and I don't really have any complaints with the mechanics, etc. The only suggestion I would see as having value beyond just a gripe is making bows and what not repairable. But, then again, I have a gm bowyer, so I'm pretty happy with people having to buy new bows and crossbows from me.
It would also be cool to have runic bows, or maybe some different kinds of bows crafted from oak vs regular bows, but that's more a novelty thing than a real suggestion.
Anyway, like I was saying, I see the benefit of archery being in the ability to stand back from a powerhouse monster like an Ogre Lord and pincussion them with arrows without taking a hit. That in and of itself is a pretty good benefit....

Tactics does not govern your "to hit" modifier, your weapon skill dictates your ability to hit, tactics is a damage modifier.
Yes, which gives you chance to hit instead of extra damage (which also doesn't work here)

Increase the bow hit ratio for pvm
Gotta be a balance on pvp - increase hit chance but i disagree with special move - everyone would roll archers and paralyze dump gg
the walking mechanic would still not be as strong as para blows or stun punch
it's really one of the better suggestions i've seen for an archery special move
Yeah I don't think you get it, you ASKED for a better hit chance, archery GETS an extra hit chance already because the tactics applies to archery here. You said tactics is a hit chance modifier, it is not, it is a damage modifier and has no effect on damage over 100 on this server.
No, it wouldn't because archery is what affects your chance to hit, tactics is a damage modifier. If the tactics bonus on weapons was applied to archery weapons instead of the archery bonus, you would get nothing from it because tactics over 100 does not affect your damage (because tactics is a damage modifier), due to CA being capped at 100. Everything in your original post is misinformed except your proposition for a special attack.

So why put it on tactics? You wouldn't get a damage bonus so you'd just be throwing away the accuracy bonus
unfortunately archery is absolute garbage in this era. It was pretty good during the samurai expansion if you were a dirty rotten dexer. Since archery never swings until you stop moving it's hard to imagine a scenario where it could be good.
I do wish bows didnt miss so much! So correct me if im wrong because i cant say i ever looked into it myself. But from what i understand, movement, and range from target, negatively effect your hit chance. Soooo how about just, have it not do that? hmmmmm?
