I'm not sure if this is the correct place, but where do you find desert/forest ostards?

I have no idea where to find them and the bestiary doesn't list spawn locations.

Edit: As a side note, where do you find recall scrolls, none of the vendors at mage shops or libraries sell them.

you can find them scattered about the lost lands (forest ostards) and for desert ostards you can find them in the Compassion Shrine desert
