Are there any posts out there regarding instruments? I've talked to some people that say they use them until they're greatly worn, where as I notice (confirmation bias?) them failing more frequently when they're slightly worn - at which point I stop using them.

The only things I could find while quickly googling it refer to the amount of uses an instrument gets before breaking completely. There doesn't seem to be any information on the instrument's effectiveness with barding skills based on the durability

Anyone with insight/information would be helpful!

I've used them until they broke, and I've never seen any kind of increase in barding failures (until they break, of course).

If i notice a "greatly worn" or a "nearly broken" instrument in my pack, I just grab another one for backup for when this one does finally break. Then just re-target for my hotkey and we're back in the fight!

Haven't noticed any loss of effectiveness that I know of. :\

If this is true, then I am disgusted at the amount of instruments I’ve thrown away (probably a hundred slightly worn repond)

i use them until they break, never noticed more failures as the instrument degraded.

Some people told me that the durability state of the instrument doesnt change the success chance. My experience shows the same.

seem the same to me until hanging by a string or clinger, no difference.
