Hi everyone. I'm having connecting issues with IRC, not sure when I will get it resolved. So.... I'm Westra on IRC
It won't load to UOR channel. Does not give error. Just the "the light irc message and if you are owner message." I have tried from my irc bookmark, forums link, and link Chris has in Compendium, getting started. I have tried like 15 times in a row. Waited over hour, tried multi times more. I have also just used the log-in default number thing.
If it's letting you connect (where you're getting that message about your nickname and if you are the owner) but not putting you in the #Renaissance channel try typing: /join #Renaissance That should put you in the channel. For the others it'd be /join #UORTrade and /join #UORPvp Hope that helps!
Try Hexchat, it's easy to download and install and you won't get this type of error. Also, it's a stand-alone client where you can customize and it's really more practical than a web client. The web client on the site is quite useful indeed, but it's not reliable as a software like Hexchat will be. Let me know if you have any questions!

That's what I use and love it. It could be a flash issue. Mibbit and irc clients like hexchat don't use flash so they might work.
Hi everyone, I know this thread's a bit old, but I'd appreciate advice. I'm having problems with IRC. Have tried downloading Flash again but that hasn't solved it. Went to Mibbit which looks good, but when I use the #Renaissance channel I'm there on my own! All advice appreciated! Thanks, Azoth
Thank you! Just had a helpful PM from Arnold too I just told him ... my IRC problem cleared up immediately after I sent messages asking for help ... looks like I've got a guilty gremlin monitoring my messages!
