Nymeros read the rune. "Ort Por Paws" His surroundings changed and he found himself next to a small cove, in front of a building. It was dark, and by looking at the sky he could tell it was well past 3-4 full cycles of hourglass after sunset. Next to the door he found Jupiter smiling. "So you've accepted my proposition and made it Nym, let's proceed". Nymeros nodded, still breathless from the magic he just conjured. Inside he found, Eliore, Scholar of Stormhold, Rheljik, an axe-wielding lady and a robed beastmaster clad in ice white, calling himself Ice Hot. "They are your witnesses of the ceremony." continued the grey wizard. Nymeros was still silent and adhering. He was let into another room where he left his belongings, including his spear. He came out wearing the light grey ceremonial robe of Paws. When he was ready, he stepped up to the altar to make his wows. The vows were taken, and a final challenge was necessary to make Nymeros an honorary member of Paws. However, the grey wizard quickly remarked that, such membership exists in both worlds, therefore a journey to the other realm was necessary. Each member in the trial was to walk through a portal fire and see their journey unfolded by the Sapphire Maiden of Paws. Nymeros took a deep breath, and entered the portal. As he set his foot in, he felt engulfed in flames but he wasn't burning. The sky had turned grey, and Nymeros could not speak. He could only gaze. He felt extremely light, as if he could fly. Words were banished from his lips, and only thoughts came to his mind. "Am I.....dead? Is this what death really is?" Within an instant the portal took him back to an old haunted building. He saw spirits, speaking to him, but not making any meaning. One of them created a small beam on top of a grey staff, which prompted Nymeros to follow. He followed the beam until he saw spirits of a pack of adventurers at a campfire. They were wearing similar colours with a badge saying "Paws" on it. Some of them knew each other. As Nymeros made his way to their camp-fire, all heads turned into him.Unlike the spirits he saw earlier, these ones spoke in a language Nymeros could follow. "Another one?" "This one does not bear the colours of Paws." "Why is he here then?" "I believe this is doing of that grey-child, accepting outsiders into the eternity of Paws". "An outsider?? Leave this place!!" "Jupiter? That fool!" "Silence, all of you!" The one demanding silence stood up. He was looking familiar. It didn't take long for Nymeros to realise that this man was Fender Fellhammer, a hero of Paws who fell during an adventure changing Britannia for good. Nymeros could recognise as Fender had a statue built in Paws. "Do not mind them child, and continue your journey." Nymeros continued his journey. He came to a field he recognised. This was the Barrier Isle fields, where his family once lived. He used to play with his older brother here. Suddenly, the sky turned red. A loud roar boomed, showing spirits of dragons. Wyrms flew around Nymeros roaring as if they wanted to speak to him. Nymeros shredded in terror, until out of nowhere, a maiden in blue approached Nymeros. "Do you want to ask me something, child? Shall I get you out of here?" Nymeros asked the first thing he could think of at that instant. "Why am i seeing dragon ghosts in the sky? As Nymeros finished her sentence, the biggest wyrm flew to Nymeros and the maiden. The wyrm roared before speaking "Su ot klat!" "Su erongi nod!" "Ecapt yuor distin, Nymeros, ym eb vantser!" Nymeros did not understand what those words meant, however the maiden looked like she understood the conversation, despite looking surprised. "You need to leave now child, I will send you on your way back home. This is more than any mortal can handle, even you. They see something in you, but I cannot understand what that is while I am protecting you. It may be a sign of your future. Leave now and let me handle this." As the maiden finished her words, the wyrm gave out a massive roar, before sending a flame of black fire to Nymeros. The flames engulfed Nymeros, pulling him to the sky where other wyrms were flying. After few seconds, he heard a boom of voice. "You will not take him! Nymeros, think of something that makes you remember your very being and speak ........!" Nymeros saw a blue hand reaching to him, pulling away from the black flame. As he witnessed this, he remembered moments he was sparring with his older brother. His brother was the Serpent of Barrier Island, a renowned warrior of immense skill both during in battlefield and his skills with poison. He was an emotionless young man, although only times he showed an interest to life was when he was with Nymeros.Suddenly he started fading away, Nymeros being pulled away while a voice boomed over the sky. "Om Om Om" Nymeros shouted his brother's name. "Celedrith!!!" Nymeros opened his eyes. He saw Jupiter, the wizard in gray, alongside his witnesses. The wizard calmly stated, albeit with a thoughtful face. "Welcome Nymeros, you are now a honorary member of Paws. I'm afraid I must leave now as the ceremony drains me deeply. We shall speak later." In a blink, the now-worried seeming wizard was gone. Next to his departure, a portal which led Nymeros back to Cape Adalet was summoned. Nymeros, donned back in his belongings, stepped in the portal.
