    Hello!
Just started up on here, and coming from sweden im used to having some lag on US shards, but on here it seems to be a bit worse than normal, with ping always above 200 and usually some packet loss.
I did a tracert login.uorenaissance.com and this is the result. It always seems to time out at the 10th.

My guess is theres nothing i can do about this? But just throwing this out here to see if anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong or what i can do to lower the ping.

make sure "Use smart CPU reduction" or whatever is unchecked in Razor if you haven't already

Unfortunate that the server is on the west coast, for me

My ping seems to vary wildly from 90 to over 200. I don't think I'll be able to PvP very effectively with that

Oh well. Just reinforces my plans to stay on the straight and narrow with crafting and vendoring

The most important thing imo is making sure you run razor as admin mode with xp sp3 compat, and have smart cpu usage removed on all clients. Those can have huge impacts on performance!

I am something like 2400 miles from the server, play on a 4g lte hotspot, and i ping around 120ms now a days it seems. I may be a bit luckier than some considering my conditions.

When i run a tracert it always shows hops 11,12 time out. I have like 30 hops on my tracert. But when i run software that monitors network activity it shows 0% packet loss be it ran for minutes or hours, i am unsure what that timeout hop is, but i dont think it has an issue on my connection.

Many people are concerned about their connection quality, but i only know one person who pings sub 50ms that I play the game with, out of a lot of people. High majority is in the 150-300 range. So in a way a lot/most people are on an equal field in that regard.

If your objective is duels and not field fights for pvp, I get that if you keep running into the same matches of someone who may have a 50ms ping and if you were at 250 that would be an issue perhaps.

So dont let it be a concern unless youre finding issues, and if you have issues certainly do the steps in the first post here: http://www.uorforum.com/threads/troubleshooting-razor-client-problems.3960/

^^Actually do the steps in that first post regardless

    Level3 strikes again!

Try changing your DNS server to use google's, or if you already use google's use another open DNS.

It's possible this will route you a different way skipping some bad nodes/hops and reduce latency.
