Hello! I just downloaded and reinstalled the game after some years without playing and I keep getting logged off. I log in and after few seconds I get kicked out. I loose connection. My internet connection is fine, I use the same settings as last time I played. Can anybody give me a hint? Thanks!
I am in no ways a pro, but I play on a Mac, can I just eliminate some things to potentially help someone more experienced help you out? Are you trying this on just one client? Is it happening on all 3 versions of the client's? Have you made a new account or are you logging into your old accounts? Have you tried logging into the test server and does the same thing happen there? Where are you in game when you get logged out? Are you able to type in the "[ping" command before you're logged out? If you are what is your ping? Have you tried/are you able to run the client on another computer in the house?
Getting kicked in this nature is only caused by no accepting the client handshake properly or using the wrong client. Or if someone else is using the same accounts you are and when you log in, it kicks them off and they log in kicking you off.
Are you trying this on just one client? It happens whether I open one or more clients. Is it happening on all 3 versions of the client's? I only have the version that comes with the Mac Package in the Downloads section of UOR. Have you made a new account or are you logging into your old accounts? I'm using my old accounts. I'm sure nobody else is using my accounts because when I log back in, everything is exactly as I left it. How can i check if the client handshake is not being accepted? I'm using it just as I downloaded it from the UOR web. Thanks for your help and you time, @Chris !
