Good enuf for me. If there is collusion, then my friend Karma will handle it. If TC really wants the place, he can bid 50k more and take his chances, or hit buyout option Personally, I am gonna make a vid showing what this location can do. Once it is shown, folks will be beating down my door to buy it
Ha I am kind of curious who is spreading that rumor. I've never known TC to be anything but an extremely honest trader.
Yes, methinks you heard that from the conspiracy-lords in SL or perhaps their lesser brethren in UO. They believe that because I bid on items sold by my friends and my guild, which I guess they suppose should come freely to me? The truth is so much the opposite, that it is funny (thus the rose image elhorno linked). Want proof? I am 99% sure I have not sold a single pixel or piece of real estate I have ever purchased here. You can get with Telamon re: any item I have won and I will show him I still own it. tl;dr: if I bid on it, I want it. I never retract, and I always pay.
Thanks. And again, anyone is free to get with Telamon on ANY bid or purchase I have made that they think was suspect from the entire time I have been on this server.
anyone whos name is in reference to sneaking into somewhere to assault from within all sneakily.... or about having sex with cows.... is SHADY in my book But seriously - Every deal i've ever made w/ TC was 100% on the up and up!
My trade forum thoughts too Also, don't bid without the cash unless you've already chatted an alternative deal through.
Thanks guys. I think at this point the person that PMed Melochabre that I bid up auctions needs to reveal his or herself. Slandering someone behind their back to dissuade forum sales is a very big issue for me. I do a LOT of buying and selling.
They did it behind your back in the first place, I doubt they'd come out now that everyone has vouched for ya....
Don't worry TC, it's just like those nerds calling bartimus a shill bidder for bidding on my auctions. I believe the simple explanation is bitter jealousy. Really nothing to be done about it.
I've seen him say that bestial is his forum account ( as well as other people.) If that's the case he has a long history of bidding his items up with alt accounts. If it's not the case then there's no cause for alarm. I would always advise not bidding on a suspicious auction or bidding against a suspicious bidder. Earlier this summer/year it was really bad in here with forum accounts with 1-10 posts that only posted in trade forums and weren't people you recognized from in game bidding auctions up. Take the author of this thread for example - anyone ever hang out with an atilla in game? See one chatting in IRC? Can you name their characters or a guild they are in? No...because it's just someone from TC's idoc group on an alternate account. The account has like 150 posts all in the trade forum. But I should add that from my understanding this is not against any rules. And I don't think staff could stop people from bidding up their own auctions anyways. If you don't do it with your own forum accounts you can just ask your friends to. So the best policy really is to bid what something is worth and don't get caught in a bidding war that smells suspicious at all.
to be fair Mes. I have ~250 posts. Most in trade (but also a few in the RP Tavern). You've never seen a Codus in game or in Irc (I am Song_Bird in IRC- but I really don't play either Codus or Song.... I am sure we have never even played together?) So i wouldn't judge based on "idk that name" or what have you. I do agree - pay what your comfortable paying and stop when you're not.
Atilla blew their cover with me when they sold me the Brit GY villa some time back. It's not against the rules but it's not something I'm particularly a fan of or supportive of. I'm not going to blow up their spot, unless I see something actually nefarious taking place with the use of the forum alts. If I were bidding on an auction and some unknown/random started bidding it up, I'd just drop out. Not even going to bother trying to determine the validity of their bids.
