So, was looking into stuff. Telamon said mercs may be able to accept offered equipment to upgrade their stuff and make them a bit more durable etc. So, I went to the test server, and they just say "I am already hired" as well as only being allowed one mercenary at a time(Not that you should be able to recruit a dozen of them in full val plate just because you can). I'm curious what others think about maybe allowing 2 or 3 mercs to follow a character and also the ability to give them equipment such as armor, weapons, bandages, etc alongside the gold they have for payment. This could allow an alternative escort options to tamers pet, while being weaker and more expendable than things like dragons. It could also allow for some interesting things with various RP groups to be able to have some of their people followed by uniform wearing guards while on duty.
