Our story begins with Enna and Gavyn Lughna, VoP's newest Pilgrim, as they returned to the Village after a quick trip to Deceit for some sword practice and bone collecting. Upon walking through the moongate into the front yard of the Seamstress's shop, they met a man named Carr who had just finished buying a few things from Enna's trusty vendor Kale. Carr professed himself to be a merchant and while he did seem to stare at Gavyn's magic sword a bit too covetously, Enna assumed him to be harmless. Gavyn was, to his merit, distrustful from the start.

As the three spoke about bandits and business and such, Enna was reminded of the deal she had made with the mages in the nearby hidden valley. The mages had promised to keep their experiments confined to the valley so long as some magical trinkets and relics from their adversary, the lich of the hedge maze, found their way into the valley. Thinking that the three of them may not be strong enough to clear the hedge maze of its many dangers, Enna enlisted the help of any who might hear her. Within no time at all, the ever-helpful, forever-cursed Dungeon Fairy appeared and shortly after Stormhold, long-time allies of the Village, sent aid in the form of Lady Eliore and David, the sometimes bare-chested axer.

The party thought to use one of Jupiter's runebooks to get to the maze when Carr asked, "Isn't the maze just a short walk away?"

He was right, of course, and Enna charged young Gavyn with the responsibility of leading the party. This however, turned out to be a mistake...

Before long, they found themselves in the thick of it...

The brave party cleared the center of daemons and ventured inside the lich's lair, where they fought as... a healer stood there and watched ...

    while another patrolled the hallway?!

Their mission completed, the party headed to Hidden Valley. They piled their findings on the table, hoping to appease the evil mages, when they realized that not everyone had made it to the valley. Carr the merchant seemed to be missing.

    He wasn't missing for long!

The Pilgrim had been right to distrust Carr, for they discovered that moment that Carr was in fact, BlackEye, the infamous thief of Moonglow! The adventurers fought off the daemon but they could not catch the wily thief.

Thinking that he might be using the evil mages as a power source, the party decided to strike where it would hurt them most - by slaying one of their dark masters of the arcane: A Lord of the Abyss! Carr, *ahem*, BlackEye, followed the party through the gate but quickly fell to the Dungeon Fairy's energy bolt in the close quarters of the dungeon. Even in death, he continued to taunt the adventurers, causing them ill luck in their battle. In the end the party was victorious, thanks in part to the Lady Dilektra who, by pure coincidence I'm sure, happened upon them in those dark corridors and lent her halberd to the cause.

Not pictured: Gavyn dying about a hundred times. Enna and Dungeon Fairy hiding next to a Balron trying to figure out how to get away. BlackEye stealing Dungeon Fairy's magic shepherd's crook. Uncontrollable laughter. Etc.

Many thanks to the adventurers: Gavyn Lughna, Dungeon Fairy, Lady Eliore, Sir David, and even that scoundrel BlackEye.

As it turned out, the crook was cursed and magically returned to it's bearded master in pink woman's clothes!

I know, it was litterally my first big role-playing adventure in renaissance, I'm really glad it got immortalized in this forum post.
