Dear UOR Community, I am delighted to host the next free resist spells session for the shard. This is a great time to get any and all characters to GM resisting spells for free. I especially encourage established players to pass the message in Occlo and to any new players you come across during your adventures. The event will be held at my personal residence by Sacrifice so behave! The session will start from 16:00 EST on Monday 9th July. The event will last for about 48 hours. Please, show up dead and walk to the green tile next to the healer and you will get resurrected. DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT wrestle or fight as you can kill fellow benefactors of the event. Training lore skills or healing is accepted and I will provide about 100k bandages for those that want to macro healing.To get your resisting spells, stand on any of the 9 red flashing tiles. Failing to do so means you wont raise resisting spells! I will see to get event Moongates setup that can take you to the location from Occlo, Skara Brae and Bucs Den (usual event gate locations). Failing that, just meet me north of Sacrifice Shrine (by the Forest Trolls) and find this beautiful Tower
UOR, Access gates will be generated roughly 24 hours prior to event start. Gates will be located in various towns for ease of access that will direct you to the event center, then a gate to the tower for the resist event. The resist event gates will remain open for around 1 hour after the event has closed to ensure all players can make it back to a town of their choice. A guard will be located outside of the tower so you will be able to enter the tower as a ghost and be resurrected inside. It is recommended to leave your riding animal in the stable, because they will most likely die or go wild while you gain resistance. As always, I highly appreciate Merlin for putting on these events, as this was the method I used to GM resist on my players when I played. Thank you for your support to the shard. I'm not sure anyone knows but the person rezing the dead once they get inside is either logged out or disconnected. There's a few ghosts there now.
The party is over. We caster for over 55 hours straight and at the highest count had over 84 people gaining resists. Props to the casters who made sure people could gm resist spells within hours and kudos to SOF for donating extra regs. Thank you @Treasureman for the event gates and guards. I recommend everyone to spread the word about these events to make sure as many new people as possible will make it to the next parties. Thank
