Merlin's Free Post Anniversary Resisting Spell party - Seaside Castle Edition

Dear UOR Community,


I am delighted to host the next free resist spells session for the shard. This is a great time to get any and all characters to GM resisting spells for free. I especially encourage established players to pass the message in Occlo and to any new players you come across during your adventures.


The event will be held at my personal residence, so behave! The session will start from 16:00 EST on Monday 10th September. The event will last for about 48 hours.

Please, show up dead and walk to the green tile next to the healer and you will get resurrected. DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT wrestle or fight as you can kill fellow benefactors of the event. Training lore skills or healing is accepted and I will provide about 100k bandages for those that want to macro healing. To get your resisting spells, stand on any of the 9 red flashing tiles. Failing to do so means you wont raise resisting spells!


I will see to get event Moongates setup that can take you to the location from Occlo, Skara Brae and Bucs Den (usual event gate locations). Failing that, just make your way to the famous Skara, Yew, Britain cross roads and walk along the coast until you see my Castle – map below.

I'm afraid not. Too risky, can't have them going wild and killing other pets or players.

How would one go about macroing healing as well at a resist event?

Record a razor macro, use bandage > target closest blue. Wait 10 sec. Loop

So we'll all have access to the bandages? obviously we can't carry them in as a ghost right

For sure dude! There will be hundreds and thousands of bandages stacked around the sides that have been donated by generous players and cool cats.

All you gotta do is turn up, get killed by the guard on the door, walk though, get rezzed and watch the gains roll!

Just please, please. As new guys to the realm, please, spread the word and get all other new guys you know to join. The event will take approximately 3 days and you won't even need 24 hours to GM with the amount of casters I'll have there.

Thanks Merlin, I appreciate that. Most of my friends that I used to play with have been on the fence with getting back into UO. Maybe this event will change their minds. Is it okay to assume that bringing red player names into this event is okay? I promise to behave.
