Migration to a new Database Server

    This last weekend Renaissance was moved to its new permanent home. This server was donated to us and after a little work we were able to turn it into a fantastic server for the shard capable of supporting an extensive player base.

    Some highlights
    • Dual Xeon Processors
    • Windows 2008 Server 64 Bit OS
    • 16GB of Ram
    • 100 GB Sata 3 Solid State Hard Drive
    • 1TB Internal Drive for Save State Archival
    • Fan Speed Controller with temperature monitoring to maintain system health.

    As the server grows we will be able to manage costs by avoiding expensive hosting costs on slow speed virtual servers by owning our own high level hardware.
