Bart and I have killed a combined 70+ trolls and have not gotten the 1 in 10 plat drop. The plat drop on the trolls isn't working. I can't speak to the statue drops but can we please look into that while checking the plat drop? if one isnt working it leads one to wonder if the other is?? Thanks chris/ uor staff. Regards, mutombo
Were there absolutely 0 platinum drops out of the 70+ kills? I'm just curious because you worded it in a way that implies you did get some platinum, just not the expected ratio given the stated chance? On a semi-related note, regular trolls drop their gold to main pack, not sub-container.....thus trolling me to open a container for generally nothing! hahah
I looked into this and found the problem. This should be resolved in patch 53 due in a few days. Thanks for the report.
not to keep trolling about trolls.... But I have done 30-35 trolls without plat.... I'll keep everyone posted on that.... that adds up to about a 4% probability of happening... so it could just be a really bad luck streak. I am now also quite convinced that cave trolls do not spawn?? it strikes me that mountain trolls should spawn in mountain areas, forrest ones in the forest areas and caves in caves.... at the moment it appears only mountain trolls spawn. I will preface that by saying I do not do any lumber jacking so maybe the forrest dudes pop up when u lumberjack... i dunno anyway troll updates
I have noticed a couple of things regarding the trolls... First, there are 3 or 4 spots in my recall mining rotation that almost always spawn a troll (also, whenever I do spawn a troll it is from one these spots). Second, mountain trolls are the ONLY type of troll I have seen from mining the areas south and west of Britain (both on the mountains and from ore deposits on the ground). The 1 cave troll that I have seen (and killed) was roaming around the Forest of Samlethe (the forest area North of Brit and Southeast of Despise). Finally, I think I received some platinum early on when killing trolls but I have not received platinum in at least the past 15 kills, which is a few weeks. I hope my observations can help.
