Hello all Hope Trade is good for everyone! I will cut to the chase I am trying to start a vendor. I mainly want to sell things I Loot,and I am after a rough price guide for a few items I am struggling to price.. How much roughly are LvL 4 Treasure maps(cleverly drawn) LvL 5 Treasure maps(Deviously drawn) Also Want to get a price check on Silver instruments aswell pls... Anyway thanks in advance I look forward to reading your replies!
The best way to really find prices is by using the forum search function at the top right. See what 'like' items have sold for recently in price based upon that. Example: http://uorforum.com/threads/selling-level-5-treasure-maps.25106/#post-242081 As for silver instruments, they have no real market, as they're a frequent drop.
Unless you have a vendor near yew/brit/ocllo gate it will be very hard work. There is a certain novelty to running one, and they make UO and more interesting place, but if you actually want to make money quickly I would suggest selling stuff on the forums. Average prices from vendors in-game from my experience for those maps: Level 4 Maps 7k Level 5 Maps 15k With maps people often want more than one, so you can get away with selling say three level 5s for 50k and make a bit of extra. I recently sold all my maps at rock bottom, and in hindsight because of the convenience of buying a package I could have charged a little more. Hope that helps.
I sell devious Tmaps for 20k on a vendor and they sell pretty quick. Sold about 10 of them over a 10 day period. Haven't been vendoring or playing much. Sometimes you can inflate prices on vendors due to the convienence they offer. Also location is key unless you are constantly spamming your vendor spot ect. If your selling stuff that is heavy like potion kegs or bulk regs that aren't In deeds people usually prefer to buy those very close to guard zones to ensure they don't get robbed.
Ahh thanks for your replies all..Giving me somit to think on.. Someone I met thru IRC has helped me out a bunch(lol well lots on IRC have helped me out) But my vendor spot is going to be in a small sandstone typs house right by Yew portal... Called Yew Bizzare I Always like the idea of vendors..I don't want to craft things so rely on vendors..So want to set one up selling all the stuff I loot...I do really want to sell things a little bit cheap to attract folk to the store in general..... Will reply in this thread once I set him up maybe can get some feedback from you.. Also is it frowned upon to Ask For Price checks on what I thnk are really good
I would keep this type of inquiry to the IRC channel, so that these things don't clog up for trade forum.
