Hi all, Newish player, been running around for about a month. Used to play Chessy/Siege from '99 to mid '03. Played AI shard off and on and after several years of not playing decided it was time again and your shard came highly recommended. This time around my daughter would like to join in but I have a feeling she will pretty much just run around Occlo in (young) status. Looking to get a house in Occlo so I could play with her and figured I would be able to place but wasn't able to find a house placement tool and my attempts to place both a small tower and small house have both ended in frustration. If any know of where I can place or has one for sale please let me know. Thanks
All places in Ocllo are taken, and they are extremely expensive (and generally not for sale). You could contact @ReZon for New Player Housing as he has a few set up for that. http://uorforum.com/threads/ocllo-new-player-housing.18998/
Thanks for the responses. I'll be building a new pc in about a month for myself and passing down my old one to my daughter and wife and may look into the New Player Housing then. In the mean time I started looking for areas to place outside Occlo. Any guides for placing houses such as where to stand, when I try to do it and have the outline of the building where I want it but my cursor is on the roof of the building behind it and I get a "you can't see that" error. Thanks in advance
When you set up your daughter's account talk to staff so she can have her own account but also Chris/Telamon might extend young for kids I believe. Welcome to the server hope you have luck with house placement if you need help pm me happy to try to answer or know some who could
Best tip I can give you is: make sure that your game window’s top left corner matches the program window’s top left corner when maximized. That will give you an exact (or very close to) match of where the house’s ghost is on the terrain. Good luck, and welcome!
@Cptn Bob stand further back or ignore the ghost house and just target the floor where you think the steps should land.
Capt bob pirul nailed it. This is likely your culprit as the gold border in your screen shot should be hidden by being jammed into the top left corner .
