Thanks for the report, I will look into this. There is also a known problem where the colored items shown in the buy list, are not created colored when purchased. I assume you are doing this with a character with moderate tailoring skill?
I didnt purchase the cloth from a vendor, I killed an NPC and cut his clothing. It gave me only 1 cloth each time, verified with 0 tailoring and 97 tailoring: results are the same.
