----------------- The Shrine of Spirituality had called Tomah to itself. Not knowing entirely what to make of this call, he reflected on the world around him as he gazed into the reflecting pool below the shrine. Then, as if some inner tide had awoken within him, he was compelled to wanderer the deep forest around the Village of Paws. He found a place that was ever so slightly more dry than the surround area, set his lantern down, and rested his back against one of the vigilant sentinel tress that stood guards amidst these woods. Tomah drifted off into meditation. A vision came to him, a vision of a young girl. She was trapped. She was frightened. Some beast had taken her captive and bound her in an old house deep in some distant wood. The house had lanterns lit along its entry way. The house was within the boundaries of some nest of vermin men. The girl cried out for help and yet there was none around to hear her. Tomah came to and immediately put all the call for the adventurers of the land to assist him on finding and rescuing the girl! ------------- They came to the call like the blade to the wool. With intention. They agreed that this poor girl was in need of saving, and Thor believed he knew where they must start their search; In the Valley of Rats deep in the woods of Yew. Searching in the woods. The warriors finally found the house of lanterns. The girl was locked inside! When they entered they saw her bound in chain of dark red. Something sinister to behold indeed! The girl, who gave her name is Tiatrin, said she was exploring a vast cave system and was set upon by monstrous beasts. Large, ugly, and wielding clubs. Ogres! She said their leader was a massive red behemoth of an Ogre who the others called Torogore. He must have a key on him for these chains! Despise, the massive cave of ogres, beckoned them. They opened a gate to the entrance and headed down into the depths of Despise. Trolls and ettins, slimes and rats, all attempted to waylay the travelors. They all fell. Finally, at the lowest level, the Ogre Lords made their appearance. The fight was brutal, a clashing of strengths that echoed through the foundation of rock and stone. Ogre Lord and human warrior alike were falling left and right, but still no sign of this Torogore.... Until, with a mighty scream of rage, he appeared. Nearly 5 meters tall and with skin as red as blood, Torogore rampaged into the scene. What followed next was nothing less than chaos. Torogore was a mass of muscle and power. Cleaving limbs from bodies with every swing of his club and fists. Hours of attack, retreat, heal up, charge back in. The dragons and summoned Demons, as well as the entire party, had to cooridnate their attacks on Torogore and on his minions who continued to come to his aid! Finally. Torogore fell. The battered and bloodied hunters took survey of the battlefield around them wrought in bone, sinew, and death. The key......was on the beast, along with a collection of statuettes. Gating out, they left the cursed caverns of Despise. Tiatrin would soon be safe. They gathered around the Yew moongate. All were accounted for. A short travel south to the prison house saw Tiatrin saved! Tiatrin, throwing her chains off, explained more of her adventures. She was an explorer, a dungeon and cave excavating explorer. She said she was exploring around Despise, Occlo, Destard and The Orc Caves, and she had found a new expansion in one of them! Someplace yet unseen by the people of Sosaria! Her journal, however, was missing.....and her mind had been clouded by the days of captivity, so she was unclear as to where to had found this new addition. Perhaps after she regains her strength and, carefully, explores those places again, she will find it again. She has vowed to inform Paws, and the rest of the world, of her finding when she revisits those locations. Keep your eyes and ears open!
