Parry with an axe

How does parry work with two hand weapons? Is it worth it on a LJ axer? Will it help any vs being disarmed by wrestling?

parry only applies to your character when he/she has a shield equipped.

Thanks, I thought it maybe gave like half the normal % but wasn't sure..
