Patch 14: Sept 1st 2012 - Line of Sight, Live Changes.

    • Server Core
      • Fixed a problem with the dynamic region priority.
      • Continued work on the general problems with the RunUO LOS code.
    • The Land Rush, Housing
      • Applied the system that will control the release of land for players.
      • Created the initial zones of allowable housing that will be open as the server goes live.
    • Mobiles
      • Resolved a problem with the Mage AI resulting in the casting of the invisibility spell, generally wasting their mana.
      • Resolved a problem with monsters detecting, and engaging a player from a range of 16 tiles, when they were specifically given a correct range. Monsters become aware of players at a range of 10 tiles.
        We initially did not think this was a problem, however on further research found an override in the RunUO code causing the issue of hyper aware monsters.
      • Adjusted HellCats, HellHounds, and Predator Hellcats so they now break items like all other monsters.
      • Adjusted a variety of monsters to no longer drop "young" treasure maps. They now drop the appropriate level maps that are usable.
      • Disabled the glacial staff spawn on ice serpents until the item completes our review process and is determined fit for addition.
    • Skills
      • Pet Bonding has been disabled while it is reviewed, and determined if it is fit for addition to Renaissance.
    • Items
      • Updated runebooks to the correct weight of 3 stones.
      • Updated Bulk Order Books to a regular loot type, rather than a blessed type.
      • Updated the weight of Bulk Order Books to be 8 stones per the loot type change.
      • Updated the leather hues to custom hues selected by our beta testers as more appealing than the default hues.
        These hues will apply to armor created using the different hides.
      • Updated the line of sight functionality on ballot boxes.
      • Updated the line of sight functionality on bulk order books.
      • Updated the line of sight functionality on containers.
      • Updated the line of sight functionality on dices.
      • Updated the line of sight functionality on guildstones.
      • Updated the line of sight functionality on the base light class.
      • Updated the line of sight functionality on the base map class.
      • Updated the line of sight functionality on bulletin boards.
      • Updated the line of sight functionality on communication crystals.
      • Updated the line of sight functionality on corpses.
      • Updated the line of sight functionality on the base book class.
      • Updated treasure maps to only display the name and level of the map, without the indication of the felucca facet.
    • Internal
      • Updated the page system to allow for Ezekiel to send extensively detailed responses to pages, as is his style.
    • NPC Vendors
      • Additional work on the prices vendors buy/sell items at were applied
      • A variety of raw materials were removed from the vendors buy lists, to increase player interaction.
      • A new formula was added to calculate the value of scrolls.
    • Factions
      • Removed the 4 existing resource vendors from the faction system.
      • Replaced those vendors with a new combined vendor, called a faction vendor.
      • These vendors will sell all of the items that the previous 4 vendor types sold, at slightly higher starting amounts.
      • The cost and upkeep of these vendors has been increased, but drastically less than the combined cost of the old vendors.
      • Limited these vendors to 3 per town to suit the free server environment and reduce client lag (that the old system of 41 total vendors per town could cause)
      • Updated the prices of the items faction vendors sell to match the NPC vendors.
      • Added some new items to the vendors such as arrows and bolts.
