Patch 27: Dec 13th 2012 Item Delay, Holiday Additions

    • Administration
      • Created an improved system of management for player registrations and account settings to aid in staff assistance of players related to account recovery
    • Anti AFK Gathering System
      • The actions of sheering sheep are now more properly refined & tracked by the system.
      • Added the player's offense count and release time to the information gump, should you fail an attended gathering check.

    • Capture the Flag (CTF) Games
      • Adjusted the flag to drop at your death location for 10 seconds before returning to its home-base location.
        Flags can still only be captured while at the teams base.
      • Adjusted the on respawn process to return you to full health, stamina & mana.
      • Adjusted the game to remove any death robes in the player's pack at the end of the match
    • Factions
      • Added a 400 silver reward for any player who successfully places a corrupted sigil on it's proper town monolith.
        We are exploring options for a more elegant solution to reward players who assist in capturing the sigil.
        Note: Patch 28 will see the addition of a new silver vendor to factions that will sell items such as reagents and runebooks.
    • Help Stuck System
      • Adjusted help stuck requests, when made by ghosts, to only delay for 1-2 minutes before offering to take you to town.
      • Help stuck requests when made by live characters will result in a 5-10 minute delay.
      • Increased the times that help stuck can be used in a 24 hour period to 4, up from 2.
    • Houses
      • Fixed a minor problem with fortress east 1st floor room doors
    • Item Decay / Rare System
      • Disabled item decay for any items classified as "Rare".
      • This was resulting in rares linked to spawners decaying before a player was able to fine them.
        A rare spawn will now be there until a player finds it. This system will be refined in the future to properly link the items to their spawner.
      • Fixed a problem with skull candles rares not being lit.
    • Item Delay
      • Implemented a base system to apply an item delay to various actions
      • Added a 1.5 second delay to using addons, Certain addons, such as spinning wheels take 3.5 seconds to complete a cycle, under the new system a player could use 2-3 of them at a time.
      • Added a 1 second delay to using explosion potions.
      • Added a 1 second delay to the usage of lockpicks.
    • Mobiles
      • Implemented a system to increase the amount of time it will take sheep to re-grow their wool when held in close confines.
      • Reduced the wool respawn rate from 3 hours to 1 hour for a single unstacked sheep
      • Adjusted the sheering of sheep to count as a refreshing action, relative to pet decay.
      • Mobiles will now despawn after 12 hours if they are not linked to a spawner or tamed.
        Note: This is a temporary setting as we research the effect this will have on the servers resources, ultimately we would like animals to take 1 day to decay when untamed, unlinked.
    • myRunuo / myUORenaissance
      • Added ShowDeaths, ShowKills, Character Gamtime, and Account Age to the myrunuo character export
      • Player account age and gametime can now be seen on player profiles.
    • Playermobiles
      • Created two new character flags, Showkills, ShowDeaths to allow for players to customize their website profile.
      • Adjusted the character creation system to flag both of these items as defaulting to true.
      • Created two new temporary commands
      The 2 new commands are: [toggleshowdeaths & [toggleshowkills
    • Treasure Maps
      • Resovled a problem with level 1 treasure maps not spawning the correct amount of guardians.
      • Resolved a problem with the amount of reagents spawning in treasure map chests being too high for the era.

      Vendors
      • Created a new holiday vendor that will provide out players with holiday gifts

      • Removed bandages from the buy lists of healers temporarily, this will return in patch 28.
      • Adjusted the buy/sell prices of bolts of cloth to be in line with other cloth based items.
      • Adjusted the prices of raw cloth resources at the tailor to follow the same logic as all other tailor items.
      • Removed some bulk resources from the tailors purchase list, these will return in patch 28.

    So this is effectively an end to player created sheep farms?

    Actually if anything this patch enables increased player sheep farming since we resolved the animal decay problem. However players who stack sheep in massive piles, will not be able to shear them as often.

    The holiday gifts show a coin value. How are coins earned? When will we start being able to earn them?

    December 18/19th the Holiday Events will start, ending around Jan 3rd.

    During this time you will find wandering spawn and an event style area, such as we had during Halloween. Through participation, you will earn the green coins needed for these items.
