Patch 30: Dec 27th 2012 Event Changes, Transfer System

• Holiday Event Updates
  • Adjusted the Reindeer difficulty slightly and allowed them to be provoked.
  • Adjusted slightly the chances of the non magical reindeer to dispel summons.
  • Adjusted the elves to be slightly more proficient with combat weaponry.
  • Adjusted the points given for elves to 1,2,3 respectively.
  • Elves will no longer drop their clothes when killed in the event, as players were overloading themselves on soiled elven clothing.
  • Created a new looting system for the event that will reward players directly for their kills.
  • Should you kill a monster that has a rare item or holiday coins on him during the event, those items will be placed directly in your backpack.
    Note: You MUST be within 10 tiles of the monster in order to receive the items, otherwise they drop onto the corpse for anyone to grab.
  • Converted the event to remove player corpses due to a recent exploit using 3rd party scavenging systems that were able to loot items unfairly.
    Note: Players will no longer have to retrieve their items from their corpse, you will resurrect with your items (during the event only)
  • Since players no longer lose items during the event, and since reagents are provided during the event all reagents in player possession at the end of the event will be removed.
    Note: This is to resolve players camping events for free reagents, and is a trade off for not having to recover your corpse.
    Warning: If you were using a trick to bring reagents into the event, these will also be deleted at the end of the event.
• Character Transfer System
  • Starting today players can purchase character transfer, and character swap coupons from the hairstylist vendor location in britania and Buc's Den.

  • Players with accounts created before 12/21/12 have until 1/15/2012 to request a free transfer coupon per account.
  • Players may purchase a character transfer coupon for 100k.
    This will allow you to move 1 character between your accounts.
  • Players may also purchase a character swap coupon for 150k.
    This will allow you to swap 2 characters between your accounts.
    Note: You may only transfer and swap characters between your accounts.
    Note: To transfer or swap a character please page a staff member, or contact the staff on IRC to redeem your coupon.
    
• Name Change Deeds
  • Name change deeds are now available for purchase from the Royal Barbershop and Outlandish Styles shops for 150k
  • To use a name change deed simply page a staff member, or contact one on IRC with the deed in your bank and a new name selected.

• CTF Games
  • Fixed a problem that caused a recent end game crash during a CTF match.
• NPC Vendors
  • Made a minor adjustment to the range in which a vendor will acknowledge a player.
  • A NPC vendor will respond to you within a 4 tile square range.
