Patch 36: May 2nd 2013 Counselor System, Champion Balancing

    • Champion System Balancing
      • Adjusted the formula that determines the amount of spawn needed to advance each level.
      • It will now be scaled to require the same amount of kills of lesser creatures, but less kills of harder creatures to advance the spawn.
      • Adjusted the system in which champions reward players with platinum.
      • Everyone who damages the champion (to a certain level) will receive 6 platinum.
      • Customized the spawn ranges for each champion to better fit its specific region.
      • Increased the gold drops from killing the champion to 1000-2000 gold. This will appear 50% of the time.
      • Increased the reagent drops to 30-100 reg stacks, appearing 25% of the time.
      • Increased the gem drops to 2-20 gems, appearing 25% of the time.
    • Counselor System
      • Created the new [cms command
      • Created a new basegump system for our counselors.
      • A player list gump that focuses on new players based on account age.
      • This gump can be fed a timespan and show any online character with an account created in that period.
        Note: No account details are available to the users of this system. Only character names.
      • This will allow our counselors to target new players and offer them assistance and advice.
      • Created a basic travel menu for counselors so they can quickly get to and from important locations.
      • Created a utility menu for counselors commands.
      • Removed the ability for the counselor security level to do various tasks, such as snooping players.
      • Also customized the client information gump to remove any information not relevant to the counselor program.
      • Counselors can not teleport to a player in a house, they may only teleport to the ban location of the house when greeting that player.
        Note: Unless they are answering a page, placed by a character in a house. Just like vampires, you have to invite them in.
      • When answering a page, a counselor may teleport to the location of the page, or page maker.
      • Removed access to the speechlog for counselors when answering a verbal abuse page.
      • Removed access to a few additional commands for the counselor class.

    • Items
      • Added 4 new rare items, string of shells(4 designs)
      • Fixed an abnormally high drop rate on wands from monsters.
    • Mobiles
      • Updated Executioner damage from 8-10 to 18-20, as well as a moderate increase to Strength & Intelligence. Barding difficulty has increased due to this.
      • Updated Ratman Archer damge from 4-10 to 15-24
      • Updated Barracoon to be more effective with his bow
      • Added the Parry Skill to the Zealots of Khaldun
      • Resolved a problem with missing gold loot on the Rotting Corpses
      • Created a new Zealot Knight & Zealot Magi to take the place of bone knights and bone magi used in the final form of the zealots.
      • Provided these new creatures with the related loot, gold, fame and karma that you should get for killing the zealots.
      • Fire Gargoyles given the proper gold amount and platinum chance
      • Created 4 new pirate monsters, styled after brigands.
      • Pirate Sailor (melee), Boatswain (melee), Navigator (archer), Quartermaster (mage)
      • Adjusted the chance for a platinum coin on the Revenant Mini Boss to 10%
      • Adjusted the chance for a platinum coin on the Gamayun Mini Boss to 10%
    • Monster AI
      • Allowed monsters to break footstools like any other objects
    • Region Control
      • Added two new flags to the custom region controller, TeleportRestriction and BoatRestriction
      • Teleport restriction limits the ability to target a teleport in the designated area.
      • BoatRestriction limits the ability to target boat placement in the designated area.
    • Slayer Weapons
      • Added an array of new creatures to the standard slayer weapon mechanics, which will now also be effective against the following creatures.
      • Neira added to Silver.
      • Rikktor added to Reptilian Death & Dragon Slaying
      • Semidar added to Exorcism
      • Azure Dragon added to Reptilian Death & Dragon Slaying
      • Elder Wyrm added to Reptilian Death & Dragon Slaying
      • Wyvern Monarch added to Reptilian Death & Dragon Slaying
      • Arctic Ogre Mage added to Repond & Ogre Thrashing
      • Ogre Mage added to Repond & Ogre Thrashing
      • Dark One added to Silver
      • Revenant added to Silver
      • Diseased Blood Elemental added to Elemental Ban & Blood Drinking
      • Efreet Sultan added to Elemental Ban
      • Purveyor of Darkness added to Abyss, Daemon Dismissal, & Balron Damnation
      • Terathan Infiltrator added to Arachnid Doom & Terathan Slayer
      • Succubus added to Exorcism
    • Vendors
      • Removed the ability for carpenters to buy crafted furniture
    • Wallet Command
      • Corrected the total hour display
        Note: The correct total monthly hours will be displayed for each character.
    • Under the Hood
      • Removed access to the staff toolbar on login (as it was annoying)
      • Updated the starting location in Britain to the Sweet Dreams Inn
      • Updated the AFKCheck command to gamemaster only

    Nice work yet again. I love how there isn't a thing that I don't like in every patch!

    certain things mentioned in it seems to have been Changed for Patch 35 and 36

    Sure, We had meant to roll a few things into patch 36, however since there were enough issues that needed to be addressed plus our desire to get the pilot counselor program started we decided to get this patch in early.

    We are still on scheduled for the other updates, just 1 number later.

    Great work team! Every patch I've seen since I started here has made my gameplay more fun in some aspect. Thank you so much for your work!

    Another A+ patch. Great job. The players really appreciate all your hard work. Its nice to see the "patch stats" as well at the end of the patch notes postings.
