Patch B8: July 16th 2012 - Website, Corpses, System Changes

    • www.uorenaissance.com
      • Implemented our completely new combined website.
      • Converted all of the test my dot website pages to the new website format.
      • Scrapped the old www dot website design and converted its assets to the new style
      • Implemented an achievement system that is integrated with the my.uorenaissance.com website. To see the achievement list click here.
        Achievements will be listed on your character profile page and are divided into three categories, combat, account and humorous.
      • The new website is now 99% compatible with all browsers, primarily designed for google chrome. Minor issues are still being worked on for Internet Explorer.
    • BOD's
      • Updated BOD's to all have a 6 hour timer to obtain regardless of skill. Skill now only affects your chance to get a large BOD
    • Misc
      • Updated the Corpse code to remove the corpse instancing (gold being divided into multiple piles).
        This should require some testing to make sure there are no oddities
      • Updated the name verification code to disallow control characters from player names. (".", "-","/")
        Your name will be generic player if you create a character using one of these characters.
    • Spells
      • Minor change to Reactive Armor and Magic Reflection to disable the casting action should the spell be active or should the player still be in an active cooldown period.
    • Subsystems
      • Minor update to our my.uorenaissance.com website to exclude the phantom house deeds that were created when players initialized a architect vendor. This was causing 1 of each house deed to be generated internally for the vendor to display and causing our economy calculations to be inflated.
      • Implemented an email registration system for accounts.

    With the website established and the base design complete, we will move on to some of the major changes we have planned. Faction, Monster Balancing, Combat Damage, and Bulk Order Deeds for example.

    Good stuff, thanks for the hard work. Looking forward to seeing the in game changes and really anxious to get into factions :cool:
