If an Elder Gazer spots me from across the pond in Covetous level 2, it will go 270 degrees around the pond to come get me. If I'm in the Elder Gazer room in Shame 4 and my nightmare is following me, it can't figure out how to move two tiles along the wall and into the room.

I don't know if this discrepancy has to do with line of sight or something else, but just figured I'd mention it. Ideally, tamed pets would have the highest level of pathfinding that monsters do - or at the very least tamed pets with 100 INT or more :)

This is most likely due to the the patch a while back to adjust monster pathfinding to improve performance. All monsters were defaulted to the "stupid" pathfinding method common in T2A eras. Once they spawned hostile/aggressive monsters were assigned the proper pathfinding ability while less aggressive animals were not.

I should be able to resolve this with a global command since most likely your pet simply pre-dates this patch.

    LOL

Do I need to have my pets out of the stables when this "global command" is given?

I don't think so. I should be able to tag them all, just will require some testing before I apply it.
