@Cero, I send you this report of my patrol log. I received my comission from your Guard outpost at the Bloody Plains. The task seemed trife enough, merely patrol the roads from there to Minoc. Though the task seemed easily enough done alone, perhaps shocking a few mongbats off the road and scaring off a few dire wolves with my bear roar, I thought it best that I find some help. So by way of a caravan of llamas and with the help of my wizard friend Radagast, we set out. No sooner had we started, than we saw a dire omen - Golem Lord Statuettes!! Had we but known what perils we would face, we may have sought a few more hands. As we made our way towards minoc, we happened upon, or rather were nearly run over by a marble and verite golem which had clearly just robbed the Golden Ax of Minoc! I do have to lodge a complaint against your guard Ivar, who stood listlessy by as we endured great peril. The marble golemn nearly flattened my hat and my skull at least thrice! Thankfully I must say, that this was the greatest peril we faced. We turned then towards Minoc, and along the way we discovered many an afrighted llama. We suspect they were spooked and fled during the golem raid. I hope you will also send word, by what means you have to @chumbucket, that we rescued as many llamas as we could on our way back to Minoc. On my word as a wizard, not one of the llamas perished to an evil verite golem - not ONE. Upon arriving at Minoc we quickly returned the stolen verite and marble ore to Rex at the Golden Ax, and then we quickly retired to the Barnacle tavern, where we ran into Elgol and Amber the adventurer. After a round of drinks, we were revitalized, and talks quickly turned back to perils in the Spirit Woods of Paws. Elgol mentioned a giant dragon and mennancing hare that were seen to the south and of a Slayer of Souls seen maurading to the north east. Fortunately, there was no sign of the Soul Harvester. Unfortunately, there were clear sightings of the bunny and his muscle! Elgol bravely charged at fluffy with his dragon-like ax, but the ferocious duo knocked the ax aside like it was nothing. We beat a hastey retreat to formulate a new plan. Sadly, this new plan would have to be figured sans Elgol as he informed us that with his ax broken, and the day waning, he could not tarry further. So, by my calculations with one wizard, one adventurer named Amber, and perhaps a few cloves of crushed garlic, we had precisely zero percent chances of besting this dastardly threat. Amber and I sat at Jhelom pondering how long it would take the rampaging rabbit and his companion to reach Paws. Then, as if sensing my dismay, the warriors of Jhelom began lining up, one after another, offering to assist us in fighting the foe! They even sent word to a ranger in Skara Brae, and to Kan Nibal Kari, (whos dietary preferences we shall not dive into during this report). With our newfound courage, we returned to face the foe, and I am glad to say laid them down soundly without any of the Jhelom fighters perishing. All of them returned home full of purse and of praise for helping us vanquish the rabbid rabbit and his rampaging reptile! Thank you Captain Cero, for inspiring us to keep the lands safe. May the virtues light your path, and may @Muguk die of a thousand papercuts. - Jupiter
Fabulous work @Jupiter and company! The road outside Minoc can be a hazardous one indeed, but Ore golems an elementals wondering so far from their domain is slightly disturbing!! A matter I will not let go over looked. Rewards are due for you and your parties heroic deeds in both the patrolling of the road and saving innocent llamas in the process! I will seek you out for the coin that is due to you! The vanquishing of the rogue bunny and it's side kick fluffy was another feat that the bards of the land will sing about till we are but dust on the wind! Again thank you and yours for the great work in helping rid the king's lands of foul beasts such as these! - Cero, Captain and Emissary of the Guard
I had some dealings with Ivar the other day and it seems along with a dock in pay he put in a transfer to the city watch... Seems he could not handle the wilds and preferred the lowly thief to chase. -Cero, Captain and Emissary of the Guard
