Not sure if it was listed here already, but i would like to bring this back up. When you cast a poison field (only tested for that), you mediation will stop every time, anyone gets poisened (repoisened) through it. It is even possible it was like the during UOR era. I sure remember the same thing applied for explosion (once the spell did damage (delayed) u medi would stop, though thats not applied here. Anyway, I believe it should not be like that, as it makes no sense at all, so in regards to our slogan "History perfected" i hope this can be fixed.
Re: Poison Field (and possibly Fire Field) interrupting Med This is a known issue, we are currently collecting all of the items that interrupt meditation so that we can resolve them all in one code update. Only direct actions the player initiates should interrupt the meditation process. Thanks for the report.
Re: Poison Field (and possibly Fire Field) interrupting Med So you're saying you think we should be able to med through all of that? (I.e. poison field, explo damage, or any spell for that matter). I don't think so. If you are medding and you are hit with any spell, be it field spells, or direct aggro spells, you will and SHOULD stop medding. It's no different a concept than stopping to med and being disrupted by a mele attack.
Re: Poison Field (and possibly Fire Field) interrupting Med You may have misunderstood Caly's initial post, it's not when YOU are hit, it's when the mob is hit. You can be 10 tiles away from the fire/poison field and start medding, as soon as the monster walks through it, your med will break.
Re: Poison Field (and possibly Fire Field) interrupting Med I see. It's because every time a mob walks through it, it causes you to re-aggress the mob which breaks your med. I believe that's how it worked?
