After having resisted poison on 11 dumps in a row in one duel, I have to agree that poison resist can be incredibly frustrating, and needs to change.

I understand that it's a third level spell and thus easier to resist, but this wasn't anywhere near the characteristics of OSI, and even if it was at one point, it would have certainly been changed to keep the element of luck at bay.

It was only changed on OSI with separate elemental resistance, a product of AoS

Poisoner: 100 magery, 100 meditation, 100 evaluating intelligence, 100 magic resist
Poisonee: 100 magery, 100 meditation, 100 evaluating intelligence, 100 magic resist

Sample size of poison casts: 1,000
    # of times Piosonee resisted poison: 339

Now for some math: 339/1000=.339= 33.9% chance to resist poison
More math: 100-33.9= 66.1% chance of landing a successful poison

People tend to only remember the strings of failures and never the strings of success's. 33.9% chance to resist poison does not seem that horrible imo.

^^ This pretty much matches what I came up with previously.

To be fair, you'd need 29 successes to best the unlikeliness of 11 failures. It is easier to keep track of things with smaller numbers of trials. For stuns I tend to remember strings of successes.
