Hello Ren server. First off a little bit about myself. I was formerly an UOSA player who wanted something new and bigger with more depth and I was brought over to this server by my good friend Bixby Legbone. Now anyone who knows Bixby will know he is a great person so I would recommend you take the time to get to know him as I have. There is no one else on this game I would trust the way I trust Bixby. How can I afford this venture/idea: Besides the fact this idea will always pay for its self I was left quite an inheritance to say the least from a friend who played hardcore back in the day and I would like to find a way to stay comfortable financially in the future but also give back to our community in a fun way. This is just the beginning I would also in the future like to open a full casino in game for dice rolling and other fun mini games etc to give people more to do and a way for all of us to socialize together etc. Concerns: I would like to get an idea from people in a manner of voting who would like to see a vendor ran lotto system before I actually invest the time/work. Now the primary concern I would have is the community being afraid this might be rigged or setup. I would do whatever is needed to confirm the legitimacy of this venture, I would also not allow the members of my guild UO to participate. They would if anything help run the ideas/events not benefit from them. Like most casino style games this is already highly in the house's favor so there would be no reason to tarnish any reputation I hope to gain on this great server by rigging such an event. My methods: Now the way I would go about this is lock 30-50 chests on a vendor and price them at roughly 5k gold a pop. Now I would do 2-3 chests depending on the total amount that I have on it with checks ranging from 25k-50k gold on them and or even potential rares that I could update weekly as I'm very heavy into rares myself. I would also keep an up to date list lets say weekly of what items you could get and what items remain. It would also be nice if people wanted to post what they won on the forums to help people get an idea of odds and any concerns of legitimacy Because of my concerns with the interest this might get I would like to get an idea of who is interested in seeing this idea come to life and who is not, I would also like any and all opinion's on the subject you wish to bring forth. We will even take ideas into account for future games/ideas. Thanks in advance! Intoxable
If there was a vendor that had something like this, I would buy. I can't if you can tell on a vendor or not but I would make sure that the weight for each chest would be the same when selling.
Locked chests cannot be weighed I do not believe unless UOR is different from UOSA in this. It just says locked and they would be locked of course then the player can buy them and Axe them or pick the lock. Great concern though. Thank you! I will double check this too!
